Li'l Wayne Live Streams His Last Night Before Going to Jail [Lil Wayne]

Right now Li'l Wayne is serving a year-long jail sentence in New York for gun possession. Before going to jail he decided broadcast his last night of freedom on the internet before riding into the darkness in his Bugatti Veyron.

The hour-long live broadcast was mostly uneventful with Li'l Wayne answering some fan questions and telling his friend that he types fast like "a white person". There were some highlights, however, when Weezy got support from some famous friends with an appearance from Fat Joe (42 minutes) and a phone call from Drake (46 minutes). He leaves his broadcast at 2 AM in Miami so he can make it to jail in time today in New York.

You can see the full broadcast here. (NSFW, Language.)

It almost may be a blessing for Li'l Wayne, as he will be in jail throughout his 27th birthday. This gives him the opportunity to stay (relatively) sober throughout the year that most brilliant artists die too young. And believe me, Li'l Wayne was a prime candidate to join Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain in the 27 Club.

Stay strong, Weezy. We'll wait for you on the other side.

Did The Daily Show Steal a Joke From Another Comedian? [The Daily Show]

On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart lampooned the weekend's Tea Party Convention and Sarah Palin's handwritten note. One of his jokes concerned Palin's use of the "High-School-Chem-Test" method of reminders. It was a great joke, but was it original?

The joke made by Stewart:

You really need to remind yourself to 'lift American spirits?' Unless 'lift American spirits' is a note to steal a carton of cigarettes.

It was a solid joke, the only problem being that James Urbaniak (TV's Dr. Venture of The Venture Bros.) made the same joke over the weekend on Twitter:

After the joke was made, Urbaniak (and concerned fans) were almost beside themselves that Stewart copied Urbaniak's tweet almost word-for-word. Thus launching an extensive Twitter investigation:

Clearly, Urbaniak is not actually upset with this development. The world of comedy is filled with comedians stealing and buying material from each other. It is well documented that Dennis Leary ripped-off Bill Hicks wholesale and that Carlos Mencia hasn't made an original joke in his entire career.

So what should we make of all this? Was it just a coincidence because it was an obvious joke? Or will there be hell to pay in The Daily Show's writer's room?

As for us, we're totally rooting for 2006 World Fencing Champion Margherita Granbassi. She looks to be the fan favorite as well.

In TV News...

The story behind the Late Show ad that featured Letterman, Oprah, and Leno.

Another story about the commercial which states that Dave wanted Conan to be in the commercial instead of Leno. Juicy!

Wheel of Fortune could be the first gameshow broadcast in 3D. Sounds boring, if you ask me.

Lost's Daniel Dae Kim has signed on to the Hawaii Five-0 remake.

Around the Web...

You can all of yesterday's Super Bowl ads in one place at YouTube's Ad Blitz.

Here's a blast from the past: You can listen to the audio from David Letterman's college radio broadcast broadcast from his campus radio station in Muncie, Indiana in 1969.

Hmm, that's interesting... Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman has a website for a Woodshop.

The best new tumblr I've seen all day has to be Hipster Puppies. Aw!

Finally, a movie has beat Avatar at the box office, but it wasn't one anyone was expecting. Dear John, the chick-flick that came from a Nicholas Sparks book of the same name, cleaned up at the box office this weekend.

Remember 90s toy "Strech Armstrong?" It's being made into a movie starring Taylor Lautner. Really.

Howard Stern Expresses Interest to Be the Next American Idol Judge [Howard Stern]

Howard Stern addressed rumors today about Fox's interest in Stern hosting American Idol. He discussed why he would be the only logical pick in order for the show to remain successful after Simon Cowell leaves. Audio inside.

Stern's five-year$500 Million contract is up at the end of 2010, giving Stern the perfect opportunity to take over the Idol gig. And after announcing on his show that he is interested, Stern jokily dives into how he would change the style of judging on Idol. First up: No more William Hung types. They will get a boot to the ass before they even finish their audition.

And now he says that Idol will go away if he doesn't go on the show. And because of his power on the show, he can treat (or mis-treat) the other judges any way he pleases. Like slapping Randy Jackson with a ping-pong paddle whenever he opens his mouth. That might be a welcome change.

Lastly, and most importantly, he discussed the future of Ryan Seacrest. Mainly that if Stern joins as a judge, Seacrest is gone and will be replaced by a hot girl. And it's hard to see anyone arguing with that logic.

Of course, whenever Howard Stern opens his mouth, everything must be taken with the largest grain of salt imaginable. Some have said that Stern needs this Idol gig, as the ratings for his Sirius show are in the toilet. But Stern is positioning himself that Idol needs him because no one comes even close to Simon Cowell when it comes to speaking with candor, honesty (and broadcast experience) as him. It will be interesting to see where this sure to be long, drawn out story goes from here.

Fake Or Not, The View's Staff Do Not Know How To Throw A Party [The View]

Today we saw yet another example of integrated viral sponsorship on The View courtesy of Stacy's Pita Chips. Their message? Stacy's chips are equal to or greater than alcohol at a party. They are wrong. And so is this video.

After meeting these people, you want to believe that this show is real, but it is not. Unless you're a Williamsburg trust-fund baby who uses his parent's money to fund your performance art, it's safe to say that most people have been forced to work entry level jobs during their lifetime. And when has anyone ever discussed their very serious, and very personal problems with you on your first day? Stories like that don't come out of a blue-collar worker's mouth to a stranger very often, if ever.

So after a week's worth of backbreaking labor and blue-collar tragedy, O'Donell has worked hard, listened harder, and he has had it. From now on, it's going to be a new day in the sanitation department. So he straps back on his superhero outfit in the form of a $2,500 two-button suit and platinum cuff-links to make some serious changes to help the people that bossed him around earlier in the episode.

O'Donell's solution? Task forces and raises for all! Well, task forces and raises for the people that were featured on the show. Who knows what happens to the other hundreds of employees that didnt get the benefit of meeting O'Donell and telling him their own plight-filled stories. Probably same ol', same ol', because as nice as it sounds, it's probably not very responsible to give everyone at a company a raise when earlier in the show O'Donell was discussing the fiscal woes of the company—hence the budget cuts.

So while this show seems to have a good heart, a nice premise, and it positions itself as a revelatory life-changer for all members involved, it's really hard to get past the fact that it is a completel fabrication that may have changed the employee's lives that were lucky enough to be picked, lottery style, to be on the show.

But the woman really did have to pee in a cup. That ain't no joke.

And you know what we noticed? We'd seen all of them before.

You would think that in the age of Lady Gaga that everyone including ad men on Madison Avenue would feel some kind of pressure to push the envelope creatively. Instead, what we got were the commercial equivalent to your mom's leftover lasagna. Sure, you may think it tastes better cold the next day, but really that's just something people say to justify the fact that they're too lazy to heat the damn thing up! That being said, here's a look at the cold leftover pasta that is this year's Super Bowl commercial lineup.

"Wassupp?!?!" 2: Electric Bugaloo

What could be better than four black guys yelling a silly single-word catchphrase to each other over the phone? How about four white guys using auto-tune over the phone and T-Pain makes an appearance!?

Though we have to admit we kind of geeked out when Dr. Marvin Candle made a cameo in one of the other eleven-ty Bud Light commercials that aired tonight.

The Empire Strikes Back: Return of the White Guy

McDonalds, why? You invented the dollar menu! You convinced America that a sausage and egg sandwich anchored by two flapjacks instead of bread was an appropriate breakfast food! So why did you have to go and ruin a classic ad campaign that featured two of the greatest basketball players the sport ever saw with this:

Awkward Super Bowl Parties: Oprah's Favorite Thing

First off, no Super Bowl commercial roundup would be complete without at least mentioning Oprah's Late Night Super Bowl Party. Jay Leno was there! So was Dave Letterman! And Dave's Sourpuss face! Gee, you'd think the two of them were in a huge fight or something...

...Or maybe Dave just prefers Oprah all to himself.

Betty White Redemption

But, thankfully, there was one bright spot. Her name, Betty White. And though her Super Bowl commercial this year probably won't garner as much press as the famed Leno-Letterman peace accord or Focus on the Family's ad featuring America's biggest mama's boy Tim Tebow, it still stands out as one of the best of the night.

Regis and Kelly Call Out Bill Evans on His False Snow Prediction [Live With Regis And Kelly]

When Regis and Kelly grilled Bill Evans for falsely predicting the worst snowstorm to ever hit New York City, he responded like any sane person would, by predicting another massive snowstorm. Sometimes we just want to hold these guys accountable.
