Actually, the first flash mob was in 2003, organized by Bill Wasik, senior editor of Harper's Magazine. They've been played out for about five years, long before Improv Everywhere stepped in.

@Lux Alptraum: IE doesn't even identify their "missions" as flashmobs. They've also been doing their thing before 2003. Not saying they were first.

Heck there was a "flashmob" at MoMA in the 60's. Kids frolicking in the garden in swim suits. Reply
