J. Lo may have guest starred on last night's HIMYM, but what is everybody talking about? It's Jason Segel's musical performance. The smooth melody of raucous bedroom carnality sprang through his voice in an exciting vibrato... but at what cost?
The performance was originally relayed in three separate triads interwoven throughout the episode. I've done you the service of cutting together all three portions of "Marshall's Song" also being dubbed "Bangedy Bang: Barney's Been Active Sexually":
There is no denying the song's sheer power, but it seems this song was far from original. It had been ripped shamelessly from the pages of time, a meme of music sung by equally electric voices, and animated with the skilled hand of a FLASH professional. Here is the victim in all of this corporate thievery. Ladies and gentlemen, if you've not heard them before get ready for your ears to feast on pure syncopated symphony, may I present to you, Group X:
It's as disturbingly similar to the aforementioned HIMYM track as was Huey Lewis' "I Want a New Drug" to the theme song to Ghostbusters. Perchance the word homage could be used before words like theft, but regardless of the results of this hard hitting tale of truth, maybe, just maybe what you reader are left with is musical genius, and that's something nobody can ever truly take away.
