As O'Brien Laughs in the Face of NBC and Leno's Attacks Once Again Turn Personal, Letterman Unleashes: "We're Seeing... Vintage Jay"

If it wasn't clear before, it is now: David Letterman hates Jay Leno. Letterman repeatedly destroyed Leno on his show tonight, implying he's a thief and all-around bad guy. And while O'Brien made fun of NBC, Leno took personal digs.

FOR ALL OF THE NOTEWORTHY CLIPS FROM TONIGHT'S (TUESDAY, JAN. 19TH) LATE NIGHT SHOWS-ADDED AS THEY AIR-VISIT OUR NEW POST: [CLICK HERE]

As per usual, all of the noteworthy clips from tonight's broadcasts are grouped below by show and labeled accordingly.

I. THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN

10:45 PM ET:It appears as though Letterman will not let up with the Leno-bashing on tonight's show. In this just-leaked preview clip, Letterman plays a facetious promo for The New Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and implies that many of Leno's most famous bits—including Headlines and Jaywalking—were stolen from him and Howard Stern. The clip also says that Leno's beginning-of-show handshakes are "phony," and calls Kevin Eubanks "the guy with the guitar who laughs at everything."

12:30 AM ET: How's this for nasty? After his monologue tonight (which is below), Letterman took a seat and eviscerated every part of Leno's address to his audience last night, including his plea that we not blame O'Brien. "Nobody is blaming Conan," Letterman said emphatically. Letterman then said that what's going on now is "vintage Jay," the same man he's known for 35 years. At the end of his statement, Letterman had this to say about Leno: "You get fired, you get another gig! Don't hang around waiting for somebody to drop dead." Game. Set. Match.

Earlier, Letterman took several more digs at both NBC and Leno in his monologue. As he's said before, it's clear that Letterman is having a lot of fun with the late night fiasco.

II. THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O'BRIEN

12:00 AM ET: As O'Brien's last day on NBC draws closer, his targeting of the network intensifies. O'Brien spent the first five minutes of his show tonight bashing the network, and—at one point—spoke in Spanish, calling NBC executives "brainless sons of goats."

Then, O'Brien went through a list of things he'd like to do with his upcoming free time, including "Make a move to Fox... Megan Fox."

12:35 AM ET: Later, O'Brien continued making as much light as he can of his situation, promoting a "0.6 Year Anniversary Show" before playing a Taiwanese video animation to explain what's going on at NBC. After that, he was surprised by friend Norm MacDonald.

1:45 AM ET:O'Brien welcomed Quentin Tarantino as his first guest tonight. After O'Brien asked him for some career advice, Tarantino pitched an idea for a sequel to The Late Shift, and then acted out his vision of the trailer for the film—which would be a revenge flick.

III. THE JAY LENO SHOW

Although Leno didn't deliver on his promise from last night to bring resolution to the speculation over the future of NBC's late night lineup, he did make several digs at the network that is presumably moving him back to 11:35 PM.

11:00 PM ET: Here's video of Leno and guest Chelsea Handler discussing the late night wars, somewhat awkwardly.

And it looks like Leno has gotten some preemptive revenge on Letterman: watch as he takes yet another nasty, personal dig at the Late Show host.

11:10 PM: Apparently, Leno wasn't finished after the first Letterman joke. At the very end of tonight's show, he made another—even lower—personal dig at Letterman. He also took a veiled hit at O'Brien.

IV. JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!

1:25 AM ET: After re-airing his epic Leno-impersonating episode (see it [HERE]) last night, Kimmel returned with a live show this evening and took a few opening swipes at Leno. Later, he tried to summon the ghost of Johnny Carson, but got a different Carson, instead.

V.THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON

2:10 AM ET:While Ferguson didn't address NBC's late night situation directly tonight, he did make several remarks related to the fact that he was skirting the issue. Here they are—all in one clip!

[The Late Show with David Letterman]

[The Jay Leno Show]

[The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien]

[Jimmy Kimmel Live!]

[The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson]
