Mike's Watching:
Community (NBC, 8pm) Will this show hit its stride? At first I thought it was a can't miss. I'm two more yawners away from backing out.
30 Rock (NBC, 9pm) How is this show struggling? Season 5 has roared out of the gate, but the ratings are abysmal. Hey jerks, watch this show! The only thing that upsets me about 30 Rock is it forces me to miss half of WWE TNA Impact! Sometimes sacrifices must be made.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX, 10pm) This completes my Thursday night comedy trifecta. I also like the progression of tame (Community) to batshit crazy (IASIP).
Whitney's Watching:
Community (NBC, 8pm) This cast is too good not to watch this show. Joel McHale is one of my heroes as I'm an avid watcher of the Soup, and he truly shines as the snarky-and-manipulative-yet-loveable-asshole so well. Chevy Chase is an all-time great, and the rest of the cast have great chemistry and are very likable as a whole.
30 Rock (NBC, 9pm) Mike, I'll tell you how this show is struggling- it's beginning to suck. I was a crazed 30 Rock fan for the first three seasons, but nowadays it's all "celebrity cameos" here and "lead actors" there. What ever happened to the writers on the show? Or Rachel Dratch? Or any of the minor characters and their plot-lines? I'm not giving up on this show by any means, but for me this season has left a lot to be desired.
The Office (NBC, 9:30pm) Tonight Jim & Pam agree to go on a double date with Michel & Pam's Mom. Right now I'm imagining an episode just as awkward as the time Jim & Pam had dinner with Jan & Michael, which may have been the most awkward episode in the history of the Office. (Of course, I'm not counting the british version whose awkwardness is simply out of control.)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX, 10pm) Ah, one of my favorite shows of all-time (starring one of my favorite characters.) Tonight's episode promises to address the "Kitten Mittens" featured in a Season 6 teaser that went viral before the premiere.
Blakeley's Watching:
Parks & Recreation (NBC, 8:30pm) Because I just can't ever seem to get enough of Amy Poehler. Have you seen her Sarah Palin rap?
